    can anyone give me info.on shore spinning around the Christchurch area,and what kind of species likely to be caught

    I don't recall any previous posts about this part of New Zealand - most have focused on the Bay of Plenty/Bay of Islands areas much further north. If no one replies it might well be worth posting to one of the forums on this site - http://www.fishing.net.nz/.

    go on the sofly side of things and get some small feathers...nothing expensive..got to the WHAREHOUSE..and they will cost you about .99 cents. and they do them in lots of size hooks ...get a couple of small sizes ..and thats your bait sorted..the tackle is so reasonable..you can buy it and ..as i did at the end..gave it to a charity shop.... away ask the locals..they will alway give you good advice.....and make shure you get to know the regionalfishing guide....have a good trip.....
