The return match of Essex vs Kent
After the Dungie match it is now time for Essex to stamp their fishing authority on this forum, and its time for kent to prove they fish.
Can I suggest the 8th of April as it is
A) a Sunday, as some people were unable to fish due it being a saturday
B) its the only day off I have (on a weekend) for ages
C) The cod run should be here
I do not want to pick where the venue should be, that should be left for AlanT and Nukem to decide.2010 species
dab, whiting, rockling, dragon fish, flounder, bass, eel, doggie, pollock, ballan wrasse, cuckoo wrasse

If its in April and you are thinking of the springers it has to be North Eseex. The problem with that is that there are very few venues that are 1. Likely to produce fish. 2. Are deep enough to produce fish within everyones casting range. 3. not involve long walks across shingle. 4. Have a pub no more than 50yards away

St Osyth, harwich er er er er .... Hmmmmm, not much choice there eh.

Jassyfa have you checked the tides for this date. And I would suggest we fish at
St Osyth as this will give us a bit of deeper water for the spring run Clacton would not be such a good venue as you need to cast in excess of 130yards to reach the fish in the gully's as its a very shallow beach, This is just a suggestion and am open to all ideas.

the tide at southend on the 8th of april is a 5m3 and high tide is 16.30. Im not sure how much we have to add on or subtract from this tide for St Oysth, but im sure Issy will let us know.

Ok lets find another date then as a lot of people will have family commitments over the Easter holiday.
