come on lads dont laugh have you tried it apparently works well for flounders in the rivers never tried it myself

through the winter months it was always one of the top flounder baits in the wear.
smoked mackerel always did well also

I've caught whiting,dabs,codling,rockling and pike(13lbs biggest) on kipper!

when i read this post this morning i thought i would try kipper
so first cast down on the tyne bang a coalie around 1lb
never had anything else though neither did a lad fishing next to me apart from a tiny codling
deff going to try it again

hmm my dad used to swear by kipper back in the days and had a 16lb and 12lb cod on it aswell which is unheard of now a days.
Think I'll definatly give it a go for flounders though

this is what fishing is about sometimes a bit fun and being helpful. anyway its a fair treck to pick bait up you have to have the best craster kippers i need a supply
