    slipper limpet

    hi, can anyone tell me the best way to shell and prepare slipper limpets for fishing please.

    1, lever the shells apart with the back of a knife,
    2, run a knife around the shalow part of the shell and under the 'pad',
    3, slip the limpet forwards and out carefully,

    best leave em a few days before shelling,

    Saw an article in TSF about using slipper limpet for bass on Hayling after a storm. That bloke hammered loads of bass out but only after a storm. I suppose i have caught bass and cod on razor clams and caught wrasse and coalies on whelk so i cant see why you wouldn't catch. A few people over here use decaying clam to tip off for the dab to great effect with black lug.
    Out for the crack-oof!

    cheers lads, tried them the weekend but no good. i'll wait 'til it's blowing a gale before trying again.
