Boat - "Shock leader"?
What length of strong mono (shock leader) is advised for the end of the braid line to protect it from rocks/wrecks when boat fishing? Cheers, Tony. (after one cancellation - wind, I do hope we get out this time)!

I use about 20 feet fo 30lb mono on the end of the braid.
I tie it using the braid doubled and then using a Albright knot.

The same as Alan but usually use Amnesia for my leaders.

I tend to use amnesia too, but mainly as I am too lazy to get anything else out of my tackle box and this is also my trace line which I'll keep in my pocket.
I use less than the other guys. Usually 2 to 4 hand spans (max 20 feet).
