salting mackeral
after reading the article on here about lobster potting I bought a pot and decided to try and salt my own mackeral for bait as mike says but instead of using a briney solution my fish are literally enveloped in salt, i can see in the container that liquid is being drawn from the fish but as the fish are not brining will they still be any good if i leave them like this or are they gonna rot anyway ?
cheers
Spike
I just want to go fishing

I salt my mackerel down as when you freeze them it makes thme tougher. Its just something personal i prefer to do if using the mackerel for tipping off for latties or whiting.
Out for the crack-oof!
