Loading Line On A Mag Elite

I just bought one of these and am trouble getting the arbor knot to stay on the edge of the spool. Its a sloping spool where its wider on the edges (not sure of the correct trem). Am i meant to tie the knot on the wider parts or in the middle(where it slips to)? The instructions in the box are useless as they dont say where to tie it. Thanks for any help

Place the knot in the middle, if you put it to one side the knot catches and spoils the line load for about 10 laps of line.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, swims like a duck and goes 'Quack' it's probably a duck. Or if you're into conspiracy theories it's a chicken.

yup agre with that! if its slipping no worrys! just feed it on loose for a few turns then it will be fine to apply a little tension!
remember first time out keep you cast gentle and then slowly start
giving it a bit more welly as you go ! you need to bed the line in before you start giving it a whack!
kick snobbery out of sea fishing
