welcome to the site. i have fishing off my kayak around our coast in south wales. only spinning and trolling plugs, i have not yet bottom fished but there are a few on the south wales forum who have so put a post on there

Yep there are a few of us and growing in number all the time. I'm a little bit further north than you but there a few guys from darn sarf that post regularly on Anglers Net and Anglers Afloat.

I looked into this seriously a year ago but decided in the end that all the hassle of transporting and detransporting would mean I'd soon lose interest. I also discovered that what I wanted to use the kayak for - bass in the shallows of an estuary might get quite dangerous at the very time that the fishing should be best - maximum ebb, and that at 57 I might be struggling to paddle as fast as the current was washing me out. Then I found this invention and was half tempted but in the end went for a moored Warrior boat.
