desperate for advice on port elizabeth
A lucky opportunity to go to port elizabeth for a couple of weeks has just fallen in my lap and I really need help. What gear should I take, if any, is it safe for a woman to fish alone, daytime, as hubby will be working except for weekend when we will hopefully get on a charter boat.
I have only just started to fly fish, but is this an option on the coast, I have found out that we will be in the middle of the sardine run, could be a blast!
help help help!!!!!!

hi shirley what would you like to know about fishing port elizabeth?...one thing i can tell you is be prepared for a lot of wind....port elizabeth is like a baby if its not windy its raining.i`m not to clued up about fly fishing there but sea fishing is great espcially from a boat.if you are going to be in the middle of the sardine run even better you would most deffnitly pick up some snoek they are mainly caught on handline from the boats.watch out for sharks ...... there are some really big ones in the area.to avoid them i would suggest you use a piece of pollystyrine hidden within your bait so it floats above the sea bed you are less likely to pick up a shark that way.best bait to use would be squid, sardine, mullet, red bait (smells really bad) but is very good for salmon and garrick.octopuss is also pretty good.fish you could expect to catch from the beach or a boat is.sharks.tuna,salmon,shad,snoek,barracuda,pompano ,garrick if you are lucky and depending of the water temprature you might even pick up a sailfish.well thats about it for now if you have any other questions ask and i will see if i can answer them
