Thread: big solent conger

my brother fished out of his own boat , sunday day time ,on the west brambles . he had the usual mixed bag of dogs ,,1 thorny ,pout ,whitting and a conger of just over 40lb. can anyone tell me if they know of a bigger one from the solent area?

sorry to say there are a lot of conger caught around the solent area and 70-90lb are not uncommon over the inshore wrecks and fifty pounds are regularly caught from the reefs. stay with you'll get a bigger one soon.

thanks for that gusangus he'll need to find a bigger one to impress. not bad for a scummer though.
