I mentioned the possibility of a meet on the Llyn some time ago when I was cake-eating at Aberdaron. However it is a might far to get to so perhaps Pwllheli is a better bet? The town is close for:
  • SHOPPING if non-fisherpersons are along for the ride and similarly,
  • FOOD is available
  • as well as BAIT etc..
  • holiday makers will have gone home by then perhaps?
Some of us fancied the Western side of the shore below the Golf Club with the option of moving East to Gimlet for the evening/night. The Bream would still be about and the marks there seem to throw up lots of other species anyway. Just pray for good weather.

I don't know if there are any other meets/competitions that day:
Saturday, September 8th.
.... so if you hear of any let us know.

Please signify your interest in the usual way!

Updated details of venue etc.

This should give you a good idea of the layout of the beaches at Pwllheli and their relationship with the town (chips!)
The area below the Golf Club (see the flag and CH (club house!?) to the West (left) is where I will fish during the early part of the day. Never fished it so can’t tell you where to park up. Look for cars parked up perhaps?
Gimlet rock is visible on the map as the little kink in the shoreline to the East (right) of the shore near where the shoreline starts to bend round towards the entrance to the dock/marina. This is where we intend to fish from late afternoon onwards.
