New river tyne meet.
Ok im going to try and arrange this one so please go easy with me.

Any help is very welcome.
Ok after a little advice from bill(Dabcatcher)we will need to move futher up river or if anyone fancys we can do a beach or pier so heres a start of ideas.
St peters for the ( River Tyne )
Shields pier
Roker peir
Roker Beach
The glassy Sunderland (River Wear)
Hendon Prom (sunderland)
I hope jv doesnt mind me using this link
But if you need any info on these venues look here or please ask and im sure someone will help.

Here are a few dates and times please just let me know which ones you fancy and we will go with the majority. The only reasons i have picked these dates asits e only ones i can attend. If anyone is not happy with these dates please feel free to arrange the meet.
20th oct high tide is 10.47am or 23.00
21st oct high tide is 12.13pm or 00.20
3rd nov high tide is 10.29am or 22.46
4th nov high tide is 11.44am or 23.54
17th nov high tide is 08.04am or 20.10
18th nov high tide is 09.12am or 21.19

20th october sounds good to me i am working all the other dates but if i no in advance i could take a day of what about the new beach at newbiggin plenty space for loads of anglers toliets massive car park etc but even if more people would rather fish the tyne im happy to come 100%
also anyone without transport let me no i will have 3 spaces in my car

the problem with beach meets is the weather can easily make it unfishable. also some will only fish for short spaces of the tide. a meet somewhere like the tyne can be fished through most of the tide[depending on venue]. plus you will be able to fish in any weather conditions. in fact you will have shelter from the worst northerly winds.
you need a venue that is almost guaranteed to be fishable especially if people are traveling.

I'd be up for the 21st Oct, any venue, but Bills advice on venue makes a lot of sense, also there was some very good tips posted by Bill for the last tyne meet so I for one will be having another squint at that.

Your doing a great job Stu and I will certainly be up for it, Saturdays will be best for me though because one in every three Sundays I work nightshift.

St Peter's Basin would be my first choice but would give the buisness park a go no probs as I have never fished there before.

hendon prom or roker beach would be my choice with a bit of a sea running,ifs its flat calm then one of the piers,not sure on what day of the week any of them dates fall on but id fish any sunday/monday/tuesday/wednesday

il be there stu, steetly has been used in the past and therefore we should be looking at a different venue liam. st peters is possibly the best mark going by the amount of small codling to 2lb there last year.
2007 so far;
species - Cod, Whiting, Dab, Flounder, Plaice, Rockling, dogfish,starry smoothound, common smoothound, mackerel, Bull Huss, Pollack, Coalfish, Haddock, Red cod,ballan wrasse, Ling,
