Unhappy HELP! I can't fit a pinion support on my 7ht

I want to fit a pinion support bush onto my origional 7ht. Got it from Blakdog and it's definately for all 7ht models. I followed the instructions and when i got to sliding it over the pin, it just won't go on! There seems to be a bit of a rim on the tip of the pin, and the sleeve won't go over it. Am I being a total retard and doing something wrong, or is there genuinely a problem?!

    Thanks!

Hmm ok so you have taken the nut off the handle and the circlip and small washer off the top of the pinion then, which should leave a small hole in the pinoin gear (dont mean to be rude just trying to explain things ) now you have the pinion surport sleeve now this will go into the hole, but if you look in the hole there is like a pen nib in there, make sure the hole from the support goes over that (its tight) if the sleeve wont fit what so ever into the pinion then it might need rubbing back a tad maybe?

i hope this makes sence to you fella. like i said dont mean to come across rude what so ever.

OK, unlike Leigh...I have no problem whatsoever being blunt!
You haven't got the pinion support upside down have u?
If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong

Had the same problem mate sometimes if the reel is used/old the top of the pinion mushrooms. What i did was to take one of our lasses sandpaper nail files and ran it around the lip and the pinion support slipped on easily after that by the way mine was a 7ht as well. Hope this helps
