    some fish from Goa

    Hi guys,
Here are some pics from fishing in and around Goa, the extreme north and south of Goa still offer some good fishing. The Barracuda were caught while trawling. There were quite entertaining and often jump right out of the water, and once cut a mono line in the process. The Finger Mark was caught while fishing of the rocks close to karanataka border, the place was full of action – groupers, jacks, barracudas, snappers etc. lost a few even thou I was using a braided fire line 90 lbs test leader and back with 38lbs Shimino Braid (super line, very powerfull). There are a lot more snaps will post them soon.
    cheers
    Dean

    Great catch...

I`m going down to Trivandrum/Kovalom next week. Will stay a week probably. Is it possible to catch anything down there?
Normally the sea is a bit rough, and the surf can be high. Thinking of flyfishing...

Find yourself a small river/creek and fish the mouth on a flood tide at night. You sould get MJ's and barramundi on the fly rod by letting the lure swing arround in the eddy.
Just make sure you visit in daylight first to get the lay of the land and make sure you stay safe.
