Awesome Lord Howe Island
Guys,
I've fished pretty much all over the World courtesy of Grey Funnel Lines, but I have to say the most awesome 4 hours of fishing I ever had was out with Jack Shick on Lord Howe Island about a 2 hour flight east of Sydney (close to where Nottingham hit Wolf Rock).
45 kingfish inside 3 hours in water so clear you could swee the sharks chasing them up from about 30 metres down). Put two lines out while I drove the boat back with Jack cleaning the fish...looked back to see a huge wahoo hit the lines and released about 20 minutes later in the water so as not to stress him too much.
And all back in time to get to the golf club for the Wed afternoon scramble with Neil Turk and many VBs & Bundies.
Unbelievable day!!!
Kingfish and a big Yellowfin Tuna lost at my feet off the rocks the next day was pretty good too.
