2008 Boat Trips
Hi All
Following a fairly rough choice of dates for trips during 2007, albeit with fair success (including an October trip bursting with Blonde Rays), I have re-booked monthly dates throughout next year on The Jolly Fisherman out of Dover and we are looking for a regular group of 3 or 4 to join our regular 8 and irregular half a dozen or so. Anyone interested please PM me and I'll send the info
We have a great bunch of guys, mixed skill levels and Skip looks after us well too
One deposit down will reserve you as many or as few trips throughout as you wish
Look forward to hearing from you
Andy

Who has got the mixed skills Andy?
I will second what Andy has said, Paul realy does try hard, and he makes the Channel seem pretty small in his Blyth Cat.
This year we have had a good mix of fishing, something diferent every trip, uptiding for skate and hounds, drifting wrecks for cod and pollock livebaiting with sandeels for bass and anchoring for blondes.
We ate some weather this year, with last weekend being the worst ever but its got to be better next year!

Mixed skills were the competitions for the biggest, the smallest, the ugliest, the prettiest and the daftest...........and then there was the fish of course!!!
Cant believe none of you have replied, you know it makes sense

Here here to that, we're due some decent trips this year. All worked out well in the end, especially on the trip I didn't attend!!!
Lets hope those N Westerlys forecast long range come in, that should at least get us out the harbour. Cod and Channels still around I gather and itching to get some for tea as stocks have depleted
If you're too cold Steve you can always ask the others for a hug :-)

First blood to Ian for the free trip out the whip then, beating the 5lb Smut by 4oz with a Thorny. Lucky to have that window in the weather eh chaps. Shame no Cod showed, however good to see the above making an early entrance. 3 Smuts, 2 Skate and endless scores of dogs kept us a little busy in the minus degrees chill factor. Hope we can get out to the wrecks next month, 1st trip of the year and I've had my fill of Doggies already. Even Mackerel are better than them things, at least they make a decent meal, are good bait and not generally responsible for wearing away the trace line to a point where my hooks snaps off on something half decent that felt like another Smut. Roll on summer

Yeah, lets hope for some of that calm stuff we've had recently. Small tides but maybe we'll get out to where the doggys aren't
