    Abu 7500 c3 Manual?

Having had fun trying to land Bass with a budget fixed spool, 30' up a cliff, I decided to invest in a good second hand multiplier. After (I expect) the usual crack offs and birds nests , I am just about coping. The drag is a bit jerky, and I have been advised to dismantle, soak in petrol, re-oil and re assemble.
I really don't want to do this without some scematics/manual.
Can anybody help or point me in the right direction?
Advice on oils to use and where to put them would be great

    Hi David,

    Try his site http://www.abugarcia.com//schematics/index.cfm

    This will help.

If you have a digi camera, take a few close up photographs before you start, they will help in the long run.

    Cheers

    Hi David,

Do you have a FAX? I will try and find my drawing and fax a copy to you.

PM your number. Your computer should have a fax built in.

    Cheers

never mind service packs! Take the side plate with the gears off and put the rest of the reel to one side, unscrew the handle and loosen the drag stag, place these on a bit of newspaper or towel, in the order you take them off, now unscrew the 2 small screws on the plate, sit the whole thing on the newspaper, handle side up, and take the thing apart... all the loose bits will be sitting on the bottom half without falling out so dont worry. Simply removed the drag washers, again placing them in the same order you remove them, soak each in petrol/white spirit, use a towel and petrol/wd40 to remove all the grease form the gears, clean the whole inside of the plate etc. Then put the gears back in place, dab them with grease (dont overdo the grease), now make sure the drag washers are really dry and the inside of the main gear cog isnt greasy, and sit them back in place, bung the whole lot back together again. Unscrew the end caps which gives you access to the bearings, soak them again in petrol, dry and then oil with 3-in-1 or yellow rocket fuel. I suggest 2 small brake blocks which you can get from abu servicing if you dont have them, and thats all you got to do!
