    Cod

There are very few Cod or Codling around these days. Sea temperatures are higher than normal, hence the Bass, and Cod love very cold water, plus they are trawled to death. It's best to disregard Cod as a viable species now, you will be wasting time and money for very little reward. Best to concentrate on what is there, and be satisfied with that. Target Whiting, Dabs, Bass , only take Bass over about 4 pounds of course, and flounder.
