    I'm off for a few hours line wetting this weekend, I will give this a go and post the results in the morning.
    As I don't normally catch anything, I will count a blank on banana skin as a success too.
    I'll give it to you straight, no monkey business.

    Yep, sprayed it with wd40, stuffed it with haliput pellets and added some berkely imitation lugworm to it and lobbed it about 300 odd yds out into the deep stuff, didn't catch anything with it but it improved my angling kudos no end. Everyone was staring at me with puzzled looks and shaking their heads, to my mind I imagine they were all thinking what a pioneer of the sport I am, how ingenious I am and wishing they had the courage and forethought to have done the same but perhaps they were thinking something else?
