    "automatice fly reels??"

    hi every1,

ive never tried flyfishing but always wanted to,

years ago sum1 i knew(but not really respected lol) told me you can get an "automatic" fly reel, ( im disabled an cant use one of my arms) and this sounded ideal(apparently worked from a flick ov your wrist or sumthing)

can anyone tell me if he was just humouring me(we were talking F/F at the time and he seemed really keen to take me, reckoned he had one) or can you really get one of these reels (never got the manufactors name, he kept telling me he'll bring it tho 4 me to try, then moved away!! lol)

just wondering if i got taken 4 a div lol

any help or advice will be gratefully recieved

    thx 4 ur help

I use a Vivarelli one for light work. Maybe its not automatic in the way you are thinking though?

There is a handle coming from the reel, once this is squeezed the line will wind onto the reel itself.

Mine is similar to this one.

Hi, i got mine from Sportfish. It could be handy for a disabled angler for light fly work as it does pick up the slack quite qucikly.
