Size 2 is what I use m8. I'm sure the b/s is 80lbs+, so should be fine for top of trace/end of leader.

you will be alright with the size 2's i personally use size 1's, but if 2's where all they had or on offer, i would not think twice about getting them.

I use gemini lead clips at the top and bottom of my rigs.
I use a very large swivel at the end of my shockleader. I don't like the idea of thin wire on the smaller swivels cutting through the mono , even if the swivel is 80lbs.

Different manufacturers seem to have differing ideas on size as they tend to go by strength then loosely group them into size. Try comparing a Sakuma swivel against most others and you'll find it's much larger, like Sakuma hooks also tend to be.

My Dad recently spend a while testing a load of swivels for Seagull Rigs, testing them for strength and durability. Not only did the size vary greatly but the breaking strain did too

P.S. If you want to know which were the best and the worst in the tests you'll have to ask Martyn, but I've started using Carp Power Swivels

That's OK but it takes a lot of force to move a large swivel when its under load. Use too large a swivel and you may as well not bother using one at all...

Can't say i've ever had that problem. About the diameter of a pound coin in length.
