Boat comp confirmation Sat 8th May

I have spoke with yatch club today sunday 24/01/10 and i am more than pleased with outcome. This is for the first comp only at moment.

This what is availble to those who need to launch from there or you are travelling to fish.

You can leave your boat in the compound overnight if needed it is very secure. You have use of all the club facilties showers, toilets, freshwater for flushing and cleaning also there is the use of the slipway and i have use of the tractor if required to launch and retieve you.

All this has been generosly given to me by the club for free.

To any one wishing to travel a distance and wanting to stay overnight there is a premier inn about half a mile from the club and it is about the same to some watering holes in the town.

Frairage tackle and bait will open early for us.

The headland cafe will also do the same and take any orders for food.
I am also going try fingers crossed get some other prizes donated by tackle shop's.

I've done my bit in sorting all this now show me some support please.

Boat Competition

(Heaviest Fish)

To be held in Hartlepool for boat owners large or small.

Rules:
All anglers willing to take part must register before the competition starts at registration point specified. (Tees & Hartlepool yatch club this dependant on people leaving from the marina or the club itself)
( Frairage tackle and bait)
The boats shall not leave until 7am with fishing to 5pm with the latest for weigh in being 6.30pm.
All fish to be gutted after the weigh in.
There is no limits on the distances boats can travel.

Entrance Fee and Payout:

The fee per angler to enter is £10.00 payable at the registration prior the the start.
1st prize will be 45% (of entrants fees)
2nd prize will be 27.5% "
3rd prize will be 17.5% "
Total payout 90% "

The remaining 10% will be given in donation to the RNLI
The date is Sat 8th May and hopefully every month throughout the season.

That is a fantastic job, well done, to organise all of that Steve.

i just hope the support comes and the event is sucessful with the baseline for future comps.
So come on lads, it is organised, book your date in with the wife, buy her a bag and frock and your sorted.

The free slip and facilities from the yatch club will be a big bonus to local and travelling lads. THANK YOU to the yatch club committee for showing the support and initiative to what will be a great weekend.

I don't know if the mods could put a sticky up for a list to be generated for people who don't have a boat who would like to join in on the event.
with boat owners putting places available with a mention of there craft type and size. With the understanding that a donation towards the fuel costs to the skipper would be a polite gesture. MODS is this possible....

there has been a few comments about charters being allowed on the day, a few points need clarifying and deciding upon,
Just a pointer from me.............
the charters have there own comps in the summer, I believe Evelyn Jane came out top this year, that is a weeks competition. Small boats are not allowed to fish it !!! charters will have an advantage over the small boat owners which might put lads off and steer the interest away from the competitions cause, being a days angling and crack.

Maybe it would be worth, yourself or someone, oranising an open boat comp for charters and smallcraft, but my opinion for this one would be to have it for small boats.....INCOMING..........

WELL DONE once again, i know you have put a lot of time and effort in with the expense that goes with it, all for the enjoyment for anyone who would like to have a good day out.

Thank you for that paul.

I must say thank you for giving me some advice on the matters concerned and taking some time out with me.

One other reason we are doing this is to raise some money for the RNLI how ever great or small.

To me every person who is involed with the sea in any way shape or form should donate a few quid each year. It should mandotory.

This what we want a few none boat owners as well to make up the numbers as long they don't mind in contributing to the fuel cost of the boat me i'll probaly burn off 90lts of petrol weather conditions permitting.

If all those anglers non owners that are interested can pm me this will be kept in order and do a first come first served please leave a contact number.

Sean i've got your number.

Boat owners if you can do the same and let me know wether there will be any spaces available.

many thanks

Nice one on getting all this sorted I think you have managed to put in alot of work which you should get a pat on the back for.

If in the future this becomes a regular event I would be happy to give a domain name, web space and hosting if you think the event could do with it along with access to the site for anyone that wanted it.

I think that giving money to the RNLI is a great cause and fully support it.

I should of Also moved back to Durham before the competition takes place so I would be happy to get a spot on a boat (money donated for all costs etc) if there is a enough space but happy to wait until the regulars here get a spot if they want it first.
