I dont think sending emails will have any effect, as the eu is pretty much a law unto itself.
The only way that we as a body will ever get anything done is by sponsoring MPs and using lobbyists to get our cause recognized, this would incur a cost of millions of pounds and the formation of an action group who are willing to stump up the money to fund it.
the new angling trust will have no more success than the NFSA has had for the past 100 years, good people they may be but in the world of Westminster it is the money that gets the results.
so here is my action plan
form an action group with elected trustees to oversee the money and running of the cause
every sea angler joined and paid £10 a year that would provide £10,000,000 to sponsor MPs and get the lobbying done
I guarantee we will have MPs lining up to join our cause.
unlike it has been throughout the NFSA years and the angling trust can expect much the same.
If someone from the NFSA/AT would like to tell us how many and the names of the MPs we have on our side and there voting record on our cause please feel free to enlighten us. The way an MP votes on any given issue is open to public scrutiny.
Ask yourself how the trade unions got to be so strong?.
A simple plan for the working/fishing man to be heard.

we pay them enough from taxes and every thing else, its there right to protect our intrests and there comunitys, when sending an email tell them of the effect to the local community, citys wont see any change but small towns and communitys that rely on angling will see a difference.when selecting an mp selct one that has a comunity that will be effected.
