Llandudno beach 7/2/10

Me and my mate jim made the trip up from leicester on sunday, stopped at flint and got some great bait from the shop near aldi, lovely black lug, juicy rag and some mackerel. We got to the beach at about 13.00 and set up near the swimming pool.we fished until 19.45 and all we caught was 1 pin whiting to jim at about 18.30!although i did have 1 bite!Still had a nice day though.320 mile round trip,20 quids worth of bait and 30 quids worth of diesel for 1 whiting, daft thing is i cant wait to get out again.

Funny thing is we were saying on the way up how Llandudno was our most consistent venue and that we'd never had a bad day there!we are usually up before christmas though when its mental for whiting.

Llandudno North Shore

Hi Russ L,

As Shaggy said, night time is 10 X better, Anglesey Ty Croes for Ray, but don't go alone if you have never been before, can be a bit hairy, don't fish there in big swells, Cable Bay also produces rays end of Feb, and easier venue.

Best of luck on your next sortie.

Regards

Dave
