Hardy fishing boat info
early ones had all blue hulls
then from about 1988 ish the hulls were white with a blue band this was because of the amount of pigment in the blue gel which made it more prone to osmosis (blistering of the hull and often hidden on used boats by re-anti fouling ''not good'' before its sold on you have been warned)
a few (very rare) had copper clad under the water line (pilots only i think) again this was a fight against osmosis
some hulls were all white and a few may of been Grey
as only 3 colours were used at the factory (white/blue/grey)
the range was
fishing 17
navigator
family pilot
fishing 24
fishing 25
later came a 33 not many of these were made
then they started doing sea wings models in the 90's 234 & 357 i think
all the hulls and super structures and internals were spray moulded (ie not done with chop strand matt)a gun was used with a 3 stage trigger that fired catalyst first stage then resin 2nd stage then on the 3rd stage the cutter span throwing the chopped roving onto a jet of catalyzed resin hitting the gelded mould thickness was controlled by measuring out panels on the hull and a certain weight of glass was put on each section ''just thought someone might like a bit of info on them'' hardy marine are still going but unfortunately do not make any of the above fishing models any more they still have some moulds i believe but since a takeover the director has gone into a different market
hardy marine still uses the founder John Hardy's name though
