If we can save all the questions for tomorrow we can answer everthing then.
I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible. Should be a good one and I hope lots of you walk away with raffle prizes.

Not sure if I will be fishing this, but I will be there for the meet at the beginning for sure, to help with access.

Are you shying away because the marina legend "Greengrass" will be fishing the match?
Good luck to everyone that fishes tomorrow, hope that all the WSF members walk away with a prize!!

If Sam managed to get a good peg id expect him to win by over 5lb, especially after the form he was in last weekend. Although with the all in 18cm jobby you could catch blennies all day and win.

Results
Hi all,
OK time for the results of todays comp. First I want to say a huge thank you too all of those who took part, the sponsors and especially Bloatedcod who has helped me get prizes and run the event. Thank you. A special mention for Jason who helped a great deal. Cheers.
21 anglers took part in todays sunny competition with fairly lumpy seas. A staggering £820 was raised in sponsorship which is to be added to the main paddle charity pot.
In true paddle form, the event was relaxed and friendly with some good natured banter. Fish caught were wrasse, polluck, pout, macks, garfish, bass, sole and gurnard. So species points were making a difference in the results.
1st Place went to Ally Harvey (406pts) who battled hard in the last few hours to catch up with Sam (381pts) in second place. 3rd place to George Cunningham who very genoerously sponsored the event in its fourth year.
Tronix also sponsored a best junior prize which went to 15year old Richard (132pts) closely on his heels was the talented 7 year old Paige Harvey who had 132 points. It always makes me happy to see the juniors doing so well. Its worth noting that these juniors beat the majority of the adult entrants.
The raffle had many prizes to give away and i hope that all of you are happy with your prizes. The first prize in the raffle was a Pelican fishing kayak generously donated by Pelican. This was drawn first and won by a very happy Alan Stewart. Well done and I hope to see you bobbing about at sea soon.
So, next years event starts to be planned next week and i hope to make it even more of a success.
Finally, the paddle round the pier event is on all day on Sunday at Hove lawns. Its FREE to come along, live bands (Letz Zep headlining), bar, food, hundreds of events, kids / family events etc. I will be there so please come along and suppert the event while having a great day out. I will give a total event update on Tuesday after all the paperworks are tied up.
Thank you all for taking part. I hugely appreciate it.

Well done to both the winner of the comp and the kyak winner.
I stayed on and fished until 10pm, but alas I had reached my fish quota for the day by 5pm and didn't catch any more.
Well done for organising the event - very chilled out and good to meet a few more anglers and friends.
Regards
Richard

Lets just say Ally George and Paige were the first people I spoke to when I took the trophy down........
Sam did really well, but Ally must have fished like a demon the last hour and a half. Its a good ebb swim where they were, but what was really interesting was Sammy came down for the last couple of hours, and Ally was behind at that stage. I really wish I had stayed to watch, as I guess it would have been about as exciting as marina match fishing can get!! But the call of the thin-lips were too much. Just a shame we didnt get any today. It also rather highlights Ally's ability to tune in to what is a rarely fished venue for him, another disadvantage on paper, as not many know the marina as well as greengrass!!
What do you reckon the mullet that show heavily around the Lewes road bridge as it drops are GLen? Smallish, they totally ignored the baited spinners. Didnt have any bread with me but I wouldnt be suprised if they were thick lips.
Well done Alan, for winning the Kayak. But even more well done Mr & Mrs Haggis. I will make it a especially extreme session for you both. We might need some soup......
