Results

Sorry for the delay in posting the results. Had to catch up on some zzzz's.

The official entry was 48, this means a 240 pound donation to the RNLI.
Massive thanks to all that came and fished and made it such a good afternoon.

Of the 48 that fished, 16 people caught a total of 21 squid.
The results as follows:

1st - Sam Sampson - 2 squid for 66cm
2nd - Matt Blurton - 2 squid for 59cm (biggest 37cm).
3rd - Mark Berry - 1 squid, 1 cuttlefish for 59cm (biggest 36cm).
4th - BarryL1 - 2 squid for 52cm
5th - Richard (cant read your surname, schooley rich) - 2 squid, 49cm
6th - Stuart - 1 squid for 42cm

Biggest squid - Stuart 42cm
Top Junior - Richard 49cm

Massive thanks to the extra sponsors who made the prize table even better - Tronix, Sonik, Mighty Bright, Fishzone, Grandeslam, The tackle box - Brighton Marina and Fishy Fishy Restaurant http://www.fishyfishy.co.uk/.

i would just like to say a big ty from me and peter puff for an enjoyable day,thanks to rob for directions ,although we was a tad late lol,nice to meet george (tronix) and i would have like to have chatted to a few fellow mwmbers but you lot was walking off when we got along the beginning of the arm, well done to them that caught ,great experiance and we will be back next year ( trophys coming to essex next year lol).

rob i will sort you out at the sole meet( if you know what i mean)

Well done and thanks to George and Rob for a great well organised event. Great to see so many there.

Thanks to Mrs Wee Haggis for the coffee - much better than the brown stuff in my flask and well done on your first squid which I think was caught within the first ten minutes of the comp.

Managed one squid for myself at 37cm (now ready for lunch) and lost a cuttle at the net.

Another Marna win for the marin alegend that is Sam Sampson (he won Paddle round the pier comp last year too). He showed me a tip where he wound a piece of fish to his jig with bait elastic, maybe that was the difference?
