Kessingland Help Wanted

Hi guys

I would like to fish Kessingland soon and was wondering if any of you guys could give some guidance as I've not fished it before. Such as...

where to park?
where to fish?
how far's the walk?
best time of tide?
etc?

Thanks guys, would be really appreciative of any help given

Hi gingerangler, Kessingland is fishing ok at the moment. You can park just round the corner from the Sailors Home pub, athough space is limited. From the car park you can walk straight across the beach (about 2minute walk) and fish or if you are fit you can walk up towards the sluice ( ten minute walk), but it has shallowed quite a bit of late. Fishing seems best from half ebb down and around the middle three hours of flood. (Weed can be a problem some days during mid tide flow)If water is coloured day time fishes ok but if conditions are calm and settled stick to night time. Fish with lug or lug/squid cocktails. Codling can come at all ranges but you will probably fair better if you can plonk out 100yds +. Hope this has been of some help.

Further to Century Mans rants (completely justified) about people leaving crap all over the place at kessingland, Does anyone know the pr1*k who's been rally driving a 4 x 4 around the shingle?

That'll do us the world of good as anglers...

He/she should be reported. Kessingland is or will shortly be an English Nature SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest).
No mucking about if anglers continue to leave sh*te on the beach and idiots drive on the beach access will be banned. Watch this space.

Does anyone know if the Park Resorts (Kessingland) gates are open. Just thinking if it would be possible to park in their grounds.
