I had a little play with one yesterday mate, although didn't get to cast it the new mag system seems vastly improved, first impressions were of a very good reel indeed
Hope that helps a bit

ive had one for a couple of months now very fast and smooth good mag assembly classed as a casting and long range fishing reel. I would class it as a out and out casting machine not used it for fishing yet you dont get the power handle and large star drag like the shuttle I think its because the brake plate assembly is made out of aluminium and wont take the cranking power[ just my opinion] so more of a casting reel yes I am going to use it for fishing but just going to be a bit more careful.

i have bought one all be it just for the field, and its a great reel , i wouldnt have any qualms about using it for fishing though as it comes with a couple of brake blocks in the right hand side of the spool(which i have removed) and two sets of bearings one set steel and one set of ceramics so dont worry about it being to fast as you can easily slow them up with blocks and or oil in the bearings.
they are very well made the only problem i have with them is that the bearings are a very tight fit in the spool and were a pig to get out without damaging the bearings them selves.(probably due to them being made to such close tolerances) otherwise im very happy with them.hope this is of some use.

definitely better of with the shuttle first class for fishing a lot more robust with its brass construction at the end of the day a lot of money for a different mag system
