Daiwa Super Cast-X S130M - Anyone any info on this rod?
Just bought a mint Daiwa Super Cast-X S130M. Does anyone know anything about this model rod. I do not want to email Daiwa as I have heard it is a complete waste of time.
It also says on the rod “Light Weight Long Distance Beach Fishing Special” Casting weight 4oz -08oz which does surprise me as the rod tip diameter is considerably less than my Century TTS.
I have heard the Super Cast X is quite old, the newer models are just “Super Cast” The rod really is in exceptional condition, you would think it’s brand new. (Puts my century, 8 months old to shame!!)
Any information on this model would be appreciated or if you have the same rod let me know what you think of it.

Thanks for all the info,
I have christened the rod with a few whiting, and 2 schoolie bass and I do like the feel of it. It was going to be my "2nd rod" but I am favouring it currently over my TTS. (2 completely different rods mind!)
One of the coasters is knackered on it so a pair of new ones tomorrow. What are the best type to get? I also quite like the look of the abu grip locks for a tenner.

I got three supercasts one multiplier the same as yours and two f/s 12ft models , i wont ever sell any of them. I like The supercasts and an Old HPB daiwa i picked up cheap, Daiwa is one name you can get decent rods and reels from without too much research and heavy cash outlay. Good practical gear at realistic prices.
