Hi lads just a quick question, I was recommended this rod for bass plugging in the 8 foot version. I got the rod and all but cant help think that its very weak and wouldnt be able to handle a decent fish  I am yet to catch a bass on it but I am not very confident in the rod because it is so lightweight and thin. Has anyone ever used this rod? cheers,Ian

    Well found Tunny...!

Hmmm - if it's the 16g (max) rod you have Ian, I would suggest it may be a bit lightweight unless you are in snagfree country.

If it's the heavier rod (up to 35g), you should be fine - I regularly use a Shimano only rated to 40g and I have no problems with its' power...
