    Date :02/03/12

    Venue:ballintoy rock

    Duration:3hrs

Tide low into the filling tide, big swell

    Weather:windy,cloudy

    Bait:harbour rag & mackerel

    Rigs:3 hook flappers

    Results:2 flounder

Report: Was ment 2 fish another beach but due 2 the wind & the low water decided 2 fish ballintoy..arrived jus after 7 set up & 1st few casts not even a bite..as the tide started to turn the bites started..1st flounder was a good size at 26 cm..about 15 mins after that caught another flounder that was no bigger than the bait lol all in all was a quiet evening would say if we had stayed longer would likely have caught more fish ? but the swell started 2 get bigger washing over the rocks..so didnt take any risks & packed up.Have fished here before when it rough & it not 4 the faint hearted..

yes dodgy mark alright in dark if rough , but it can fish well in rough conditions
just have to get up onto high rock up at blow hole , being careful not to fall into
it as it is straight down into water ! cod can be had here in rough conditions
but think saftey at all times .
