    Very nice BUT Century really need to cover those decals with some resin! I replaced a ring on a 1000 that had decals that had become barely visible in just a few months. Not ideal for a premium rod. Tell Chilli to sort it!

    Liking the new colours, but agree that for the cost of the rods they should have high-build over the decals. Would love to have a t1200

    T700 => sweet looking rod

    i don't give a **** about resin over the decals but they should start building light & balanced all carbon C curve rods 13.4" in length ;-)

    Just ask, they'll do it when the rod is bought new at no extra cost either from the factory directly or a shop. I'll feed-back to Chilli ;)

    As above, just ask, no extra cost.

    Just ask too, if you want one they'll make it but, people have been crying out for a 15ft continental style rod from them. Everyone's dimensions, style, stature and fishing requirements differ. I really like the idea of something between the T800 and T900 all carbon but we'll see. I could be wrong but the glass in the T700 seems a bit stiffer than that of the T800/T900 but I'll do a full review in a few weeks after fishing a lot with them rather than jumping the gun.

    Was having a look at a bunch of century rods today, inc the T800 and T700. T700 is very light for its length but I was not expecting it to have such a high diameter. Very thick from the butt to the tip. Handling the 700 after the 800, the 700 seems like a beast (in terms of thickness). I could tell it would be nice to cast with, but just so beefy in the hand!

    Does the 700 come in multi and f/s or is it rung to accept both ?

    There's a comparison vs the T800 which is a slim blank, I am pretty sure they take the same seat size. I guess the natural thought process is that if something is numbered less then it will be less. I was a bit surprised also, as once the Grapehene was added, it became a much more powerful rod (though it didn't alter in size from the original prototype).

    It comes in one standard rigging in the shops which is 8 rings + the tip eye. The guides like the previous ones are anti tangle and most testing was done with fixed spool with braid and mono, it was also tested with multi though. The factory or via most shops they can organize for it to be rung with less guides or different spacings if a customer wishes. In short it will accept both.

    Stunning rods I must say. It took some serious self control to leave the plastic in my wallet...

    Mike, dont think you would need a reducer as the T700 is 15ft long anyway..5/60z with bait, ideal for Sussex/Hants beaches..

    A good fixed spool reel at the bottom of the rod . At 15ft like said above you would not need a reducer.

    Any chance of a pic of the tips (T700 and T800) side by side?

    Regards,

    Mal

    I see the upper rod pictured above has also suffered wear to the decals. This shortfall shouldn't need a request to the factory to add protection. Do it as standard or change the decals for something fit for the job imo. End of !

    I prefer the HB but bear in mind this is the one that's been scraped on rock, the logo on the other is in tact.

    Cheers, off to bonnie Scotland, expecting a white out.
