    I'm still wondering why not cast a fly at permit following rays? Is it considered "bad form" like worms for salmon and trout in colouredwater (common sense in my book)because surely the idea is to use any knowledge of the fish to catch your target species

    Hope its not bad form.......where i go the standard practice is to fish a small real crab under a float.....shudder!

    That's what I would do given the chance. If you are only there for a couple of sessions you want to catch
