Utterly disgusting criminal behaviour, hope someone knows who they were so they can be brought to justice,

:) Quite agree. I was fishing Chesil one night and there were some teenagers having a BBQ with a fire made from driftwood etc, they had a great time, drinking and singing. Left loads of rubbish when they left, food wrappers, cans etc, all you'd expect from a BBQ. As it got light, it was summer, some anglers came along and immediately blamed other anglers, I stepped in and said they didn't have a rod between them. I was then asked why I hadn't made them clean it up. I said I'm 60+ and there were 8 of them, would you have made them clean it up and there's 2 of you and under 40, end of conversation. Anglers are an easy target, even if we're not to blame. If they'd looked at the evidence there was no fishing related rubbish, just food and drink waste. :(

It was 5 anglers from Jarrow, full of drink.
The fire was started by the red hot embers from a cast iron bbq they had used.

;) If it's known who they were, have they been asked to pay for the damage? ;)

They need to be named and given exclusion orders by the courts

No names yet Norm. A local was talking to them before the fire. They told him they had come up from Jarrow, and he has confirmed that they were absolutely steaming drunk. The authorities are keen to talk to them.
