I am looking to start sea fishing with a trip to worthing. I want to fish off the end of the pier, but have no idea what sort of rig to use as I'm normally a coarse fisherman! Any advice would be most appreciated!

Worthing pier is quite an underated pier but conditions have to be right if the sea is coloured ie brown after some southwesterley winds i would suggest fishing with either mackeral strip or squid for dogfish with a cast of about 6o yards to find them.In settled conditions this time of year small red ragworms work best for flounders plaice and possibl;y mullet. Also if water is clear use small strips of mackeral either on float or very high top hooks for garfish hope this helps
