Guys, thought you might like to see the underwater Water Wolf Footage I was lucky enough to film on a 170cm / 155lb Halibut that I caught in Norway end June2016.
Filmed in a depth of circa 60m.

Best watched in youtube in HD 720p setting, medium size viewer, cinema mode.

I have now re-uploaded an improved cut, slightly brighter in the first few minutes.

    Enjoy!

Wow ! If i had a dream like that i would wake up screaming !:)

It certainly shows off the sheer power of the halibut!

What was the fish trying to steal the bait , wolfie ?

    Outstanding vid !

    Cheers Sniggle.
Yep that was an opportunist wolfie having a go at the bait, undeterred by the halibut.

Video seems to be playing too dark on some devices or browsers (it's actually quite clear all the way through.)
I'll try revisit this tonight and re-upload if necessary.

thanks Sniggle, the uploaded file is clear at the start and all the way through.
I might need to re-upload a slightly different file type; or edit slightly brighter

Unbelievable. 144 views and 2 ratings. No wonder people don't bother so much with wsf and use FB!

  10. the footage really highlighted just how accurate the colour of the halibut matched the bottom in that area. really lucky not to get cut off a couple of times as well by the look of the footage !
    cheers rab

Cheers Steve, lovely fish indeed, although I'm still trying to get me a nice double figure turbot. No doubt you'll pull out your 3rd double this coming week :)

That's not the magnificent raptor Lilbrit, that be the haunting sound of the Norwegian depths as the waterwolf is dragged around underwater by a goliath flatty.

You'll understand if you ever hook a triple figure booby :p
