    Be careful not to come too close in to either Southsea or Hayling shores, on Southsea there are posts just beyond the outfall with the beacon at the end and Hayling has a nice sandbank.

    Excellent thanks for the heads up, I've heard the winner bank can be a bit troublesome as well. I'll make sure I motor we'll clear of it.

    Although I've been told a live Sandeel cast as close as your prepared to get can produce some nice bass !

    Yes you can although from now until July you can't keep bass anyway, and the Hayling end of east Winner falls within the bass nursery protection area in force from May to end of October.

    Didn't realise the protection area stretched that far out of the harbour.
