Whiting with Leek recipe-------------- with a twist

    Take boneless fillets 2x per person.

    Top and tail a leek so that the leaves are the same length as the fillets.

    Open out a leek leaf and wrap a fillet in the leaf. Repeat for each fillet. Place the wrapped fillets in a pyrex dish.
    Chop some of the offcut leek, mushroom and onion. Place over the wrapped fillets. Sprinkle with dried Basil.
    Pour in enough milk to half cover the fillets. Half a cup of leek soup can be added if desired.

    Cover with foil and bake for 45 mins.


    Now here's the twist.


    I've just served it up and handed my wife hers with carrots, sweet potato and cabbage.

    Before I could say anything my wife picked up the bottle of vinegar and plastered hers with it:crazy:

    When I said I was flabberghastistifitated that, having spent all day preparing such a delicate dish, she'd plaster it with vinegar then her reply was that "I always have vinegar on fish".
    I told her that, if I'd realised that, I would've just gone down the chip shop.

    So the twist is that, where I thought she had a bit of character, I now realise she's right round the twist:crazy::crazy::crazy:

    That sounds really nice, but i dont think i'd ruin it with the leek soup
