Vitória(ES) –
Brazil's female team assumed the leadership of the World-Wide Fishing
Championship after second stage of the competition this Wednesday, at Praia do
Riacho, in Guarapari. The team, that finished in sixth place in the first stage

resulting in 1.781 gram in the total weighing. Adding the two stages, Brazil
started to lead in the female competition with 2.980 grams. In second, comes
Italy with 2.178 grams.
At the male competition, Wales, witch won the first stage, marches firm to
conquer the title. It's enough to say that they also won the second stage with

Praia do Riacho beach presented different conditions compared to Camburi beach,
where it was realized the first stage. Beach of clear waters and bigger depth,
made it possible the capture of heavier fish, several of them proceeding from
rocky habitat.
It was a day that pleased a lot the Europeans. But Wales delegation preferred
to keep the humbleness. "The conditions approached a little bit more with
the one's from our country. But the balance must prevail. There is no winner
yet", said Wales' captain, Mike Flynn.
This Thursday the delegations will compete in Regência, Linhares, from 10 am to
2 pm. On Friday the competition comes back to Camburi beach, from 8 am to 12:30
pm. On the 20th, the prizes will be rewarded. On the 21th, the delegations
leave to their countries.
