Game on Predator Big Fish Weigh Sling
This is one for the dinghy tope and shark fanatic, or the shore conger man who needs to weigh fish safely and accurately.
The weigh sling is made from tough and durable plastic sheet and measures 56-inches long and 39-inches wide across the middle. It tapers to a point at each end. The straps are heavy-duty nylon webbing, with ultra strong stitching running the full width of the sling. The front end of the sling has a canopy to form an enclosure that is designed so that you can push the head of a fish inside. This helps keep them calm while being lifted and weighed.
Rob Thompson of Game On and I tested the strength of sling by lifting a young lady by the name of Ulrika at the NEC show as Game On unveiled the sling for the first time. Ulrika weighed 52 kilos and the sling lifted her easily with no great strain on the straps.
With the sling material being plastic it is very easy to keep clean and smell free, I also found that to return fish you can lift the fish inside the sling over the gunnel and in to the water at the side of the boat and just let the fish slide out backwards for a simple and safe return.
This is an excellent sling and one all dinghy owners likely to catch tope and other big fish they want to weigh should have aboard. I'd also recommend it for big shore fish like huss and conger.
Since this review was conducted the Weight Sling is no longer available as far as we are aware. This review is an archive review useful for those who may come across the sling.
