I've always been sceptical about the usefulness of print internet directories. The nature of the web dictates that as soon as a directory is published a large portion of those sites listed will have vanished. For a change, this book is different. For the first time I've seen a book properly and thoroughly researched in the field of print internet directories!

The book is very well put together and illustrated. The opening chapter explains to the reader about the internet, explains net terms, etiquette and even a brief guide on how to use search engines. Each chapter after is a directory category from US State by State to more general sections from good all round sites, media sites and fishing groups. There is also an excellent chapter for sites which will help you plan your trip with maps, marks, guides and weather. The international section is excellent with web sites from all over the world including good old blighty!

Each web site gets a small write up explaining what it covers, certain web sites are given a top rated designation for sites that stand out in design and content. There is a handy appendix added at the back for finding the Top Rated Sites, Good Forums and also a comprehensive URL list and index.

This is a truly excellent resource for the online angler of any discipline. It's now taken its place among my web coding books in the reference section of my library :) and it truly well thumbed. Those of you who have got the book already will notice World Sea Fishing got a Top Rated designation in the book. This did not influence the review in anyway and even if we had no mention at all it would have still got a healthy 9 out of 10 from us!
