Hook and Tackle Outfitters Gulfstream Fishing Shirt
Being comfortable and cool while offshore or on the beach is essential and keeps your mind fully focussed on the fishing. But clothing also needs to easily accommodate all the things you need to carry from everyday life securely, plus carry items of tackle, sunglasses and even fishing tools for easy access.
Hook and Tackle's Gulfstream shirt is a good example of the type of clothing modern anglers require. These shirts are made from 100% cotton Poplin with Coolmax mesh lining across the inside upper back and lower shoulders. The shirt has a vented back to allow air to circulate around the body and arms keeping you cooler.
The collar has small button flaps that hold it securely in place, but these can be undone to allow the collar to be raised to protect the neck from too much sun.
There are double chest pockets at either side. The left side pocket measures 7ins deep x 6ins wide, big enough to take average fly or lure boxes, wallets etc. There is a secondary half size pocket, separated in to two down the middle, across the front of the main pocket at the base. This measures 4ins x 6ins. These pockets secure with fold down flaps and Velcro fasteners. The right hand pocket is the same size and has the large pocket at the rear, but the front pocket is designed to take sunglasses. Both pockets have embroidered eyelets at the base to allow air to circulate.
On the left side front above the pocket there is also a utility loop with a Velcro fastener, ideal for attaching scissors or other small accessories to if you attach them via their lanyard, or holding a fly rod in place if you put the reel and butt inside the main pocket.
We found the shirt practical aboard the boat when working, comfortable, cool and able to easily carry all the items we needed.
The shirt comes in long or short sleeved options and is available in white, sand, banana, sage, steel blue teal and coral and sizes S-XXL (For Men), S-XL (For Women).
