The Summerland Key shorts by Hook & Tackle Outfitters offer no less than ten pockets for storage.

There are two rear pockets with a tough zip fastener, ideal for carrying your wallet or cash totally securely. With this in mind we also checked the quality of the pocket cloth itself and the stitching and it is strong with stitching only down the side.

Big side cargo pockets are positioned on either leg. The right pocket is 8ins deep x 7ins with a Velcro held fold down flap. On the front of this pocket at the base there are two more smaller pockets, one held by Velcro, the other open with a 1in wide slim line tool pocket at the side. Behind the main pocket with access from the rear side is another zip closing security pocket.

The cargo pocket on the left leg is again 8ins x 7ins with a Velcro closing flap, but has no smaller pockets. This is ideal for bulky items like maps. There are also single open hip pockets at each side above the flap pockets.

In addition the belt has a D ring sewn in on the waist at the right side, has tough tunnel type belt loops, and elasticated sides. They are made from 100% cotton, a tough fly zip and waist-securing button.

We found these shorts well designed, comfortable and they wash repeatedly well. They are ideal for pleasure anglers and crew alike. You have the choice of chambray (light denim blue), sand, pine or charcoal colours, and they come in sizes 32 to 42.
