Gemini Flat Back Sinkers

Tony Caton at Gemini Tackle has been busy again with a new design lead called the Flatback Sinker.

Instead of the normal torpedo or bomb shaped lead we're all used to, Tony has made the Flatback more barrel shaped with a slight taper towards the back. The actual back end of the lead is flat, hence the name. He tells me the idea is to create a denser package to open a hole in the air during the cast to help protect bait presentation. The design also proves very adept at punching through the wind to gain extra yardage when fishing in to a face-on gale.

The lead carries the now famous Gemini plastic noses with the clip in grip wires. The blue nosed leads are 150gms weight, and the red noses 170gms. Prices are £1.02 and £1.10 respectively.
