An excellent choice for both shock leader line to rig swivel connections, and also for direct connections for medium to light weight lines and hooks. Has a strength ratio of about 90%.
Pass the tag end through the inside of the swivel or hook eye. Pull a good length of tag end through and form this in to a large loop underneath the main line. Pass the tag end around the back of the main line and hold it against the main line with fore finger and thumb. With the main line and upper section of the loop held roughly parallel with each other, pass the free tag end through the loop and around both the two parallel lines five times. Slowly draw the knot together to complete.
