Hi guys thought people might be interested in seeing my Duver 23 project as it progresses.
Will be used for fishing but also as a workboat for my business.
Bought a year ago with lots of issues, rotten decks, bare inside, bad paint job etc etc

So far the deck and engine bay has been ripped out and rebuilt, the interior has been completely rebuilt.
All the old bad paint job has been stripped off and sanded back
Heavy duty d-fendering fitted all round
Heavy duty stainless tow bollard installed
    Fuel tank re-fitted

It’s amazing seeing them pictures brings back so many memories. When I first got her she was in quite a state after being completely neglected but with the help of some mates, an inordinate amount of money and a couple of years later after much blood, sweat and tears, she was completed. :)

Do you have any history about the boat? Antares is a common enough name for a boat, but I have an acquaintance whose family owned a Duver 23 of the same name and colouring back in the late 80's early 90's. They purchased it from what was then the NRA.( National Rivers Authority) in Wales. The vessel was berthed at Cardiff. Some boat owners retain the original name when purchasing. Be interesting to know if she's the same boat. Idle curiosity that's all.Ps. They went on to own 2 more after selling on Antares so obviously were impressed with them. Good luck with your project.

You say that Nash boy, having done a huge amount of research on Duvers whilst I had mine, I have seen Antares before, so unsure whether it’s been up for sale before, but I have seen it before or at least an image of it.

It might just be a coincidence, as said it is a common enough boat name. The propulsion looks like jet drive from the pics. NRA used that to enable the boat to navigate up into very shallow water during routine work. Perhaps the boat has changed hands too many times to be certain. The O.P. might know but I'm not holding my breath.

It may just be that. I am confident though that I’ve seen it though. I just done a quick search on google regarding Duvers and can’t see it there but am looking at it on my phone.

I don't have much history on it unfortunately, however I do know it was used on the rivers by the NRA so it must be the same one! She has been re engined however its got the original vospower jet unit

I bought her from Langstone, had been laid up ashore for a while. Before that it was with another owner before being on the rivers

Can I ask what mm ply you use for the cabin features? Is it marine ply?

Do you have a tip for shaping the Cross beams you've got over the contoured areas of Hull and what do you use to connect with the hull, some sort of adhesive?
