Remember that BIG swell in November '07 ? Everyone took piccies , didn't they?(please don't steal our pics and post them elswhere)
These were taken in about 15-20 mins
    [IMG]
There was quite a few people snapping away, so there should be plenty of pics out there .
There were flood alerts all the way down the east coast.
So next time you see a few waves coming over the middle , just think on !
I missed the wave that caused this , but hey what a finish!!!!

I'll do some more later ,will you ?

I went for a walk along the old Banjo Pier today, is was quite sunny.
Its changed alot , it used to be very similar to the Groyne at Shields.
As you can see its got them jigsaw type boulders around it now .
Except where the life boat is moored.
While I was there , I met a bloke who was painting a picture of the docks including the life boat. Turns out he's been commisioned by the Insitute of Civil Engineers to do a few paintings of the docks.
Had quite a chat he also has a wesite with 1000's of pics and paintings of our stunning land. www.suncage.co.uk . have a look its worth a squint.
Any way its Friday it must be that time already
    [IMG]
Yes it is , its only Pub'o'clock.
Off down Whitby/Scarborough way tomorrow . Watch this space !

I worked on that as my work exp. And its a spectacular thing, suprisingly slow lol, the Port Of Tyne had a contract to make the river bed to 9.0m (or something) and they ordered a suction dredgers from UKD (UK Dredging LTD) and the ship name was UKD BlueFin,(Which i spent a day on) You can sometimes see it popping in and out of the Tyne for odd jobs

They come a long way to see the Headland's history (even from M,bro)
Here is St Hildas church and another piece of headland history , The Harour of Refuge , better known as "The Pot House".
    Oh ? and a tug boat ?
