been out last few weeks, not doing catch reports much anyone can see em drop a net.
few pics from last week. 1 gilled fish didn go to waste.

plenty of 60s 50s.
this week had 60mph winds overnight tuesday gave the open coast a go but blanked.
tried again with the new reel this am had 1 on surface but it was just getting blown away. tried all sorts then found an old xrap in the bag 3 casts an the plucky little thing popped out a fish. absolutely gusty pain in the ar5e side wind all day.

only downers been 8strand braid know some use it very sucessfully have no problems but lost about 5 lures on it recently one on a running fish so back to powerpro.

PP is a proven rough ground braid imo..

Good effort in iffy conditions Matt.
And like you say,can't knock PowerPro
At all. It copes with the rough stuff better than any braid I've ever used.:thumbsup:
I'm taking some 13kg PPro for my hols in the Azores tomorrow.:happydance:

Matt I have put whiplash crystal 20lb on my lure reels , I have had no wind knots etc , and it's so thin and strong

Great catch report Matt, as always, top angling there.
What braid did you loose your lures on if you don't mind me asking?
My mate use j-braid and found it Sh!t

PS: mine carry 15 hp lures or 13 hp + 4 sp or 12 hp + 6sp including hennie's special lol

that still looks like the day i send it off,..it is a great rough water lure mate,.ask Matt i got spooled on one last year.

seen the surf skipped down the rocks like some baby goat its going off, only to be met with a constant howling in one ear.

isaac was duel x8 hardcore 1.2.
its been very decent to start and i reversed it monday to cure it yet it still snapped same way.
nealry got some j braid on the way home decided to give it a miss

Thanks Matt, I was looking at surely ×8 few weeks back for a change, I better stick with what I have, I haven't lost a single lure last year and this year due to line snapping, thanks for the info Matt, appreciated.

been absolutely fishing its tits off down there the last few weeks
best sessions for quiet a few years on marks that I have had decent fish on years ago but had nothing on them recently up till this year
long may it continue
maybe its something to do with the so called Bass ban:veryconfused:

hello squiddy.
few years back was banging but it did die a death.
there is some absolute monsters down there no idea why they gone for the lure like rabies but missed it over an over week or so back.
this could well be a mental autumn got ti admit the netters are intermittent and they dont apoear to leavem there 24/7 either.

seen no sign of this nonsense for weeks been out everyother 1st lite.
post a report yesterday an here he is in 12ft of calm sea 1st light today collecting his netted bycatch cant park on shallow fish and catch them with a rod and line.

nah it was x8 hardcore 1.2,, bit light maybe , it was very decent for a while, its not the brand tho its mostly the enviroment and prehaps im a bit rough with them all the 8s ive used seem to end up this way.
got 2 spools of tournament 8 on the way 0.18 for bigger lures .

Nice fishing Matt -glad you getting some good ones.I have decided to not post while a particular mark is fishingfor similar reasons.On the line front I`ve been using J braid for last two seasons and find it excellent-mind I do keep an eye out for abrahsions in the last 20Feet and use a leader.
