Going fishing Tuesday not sure if I’ll be going beach fishing or pier or anything along those lines. Anyone recommend anywhere around? I’ve been fishing of mevvagissy pier and I’ve done some rock fishing in Charlestown.
If I were to try jigging for wrasse (or bass) from Gorleston pier would I be wasting my time?
If not how should I go about it, e.g with a Texas style rig, drop shotting or using some other method?
With the weather fine, warm and settled as it is I thought it might be worth a go...

Cornwall was a good shout but still didn't overly produce for me, however the boy had a good time
The Harbour and Castle from the pier. A popular mark for Flounder and Sea Trout as well as various other species such as Codling, Coalfish, Scorpion etc. Free parking nearby but can get busy when the sun shines. Hazards are numpties driving their jet skies and ski boats too close to the pier.

Hi all, this is my first post. I've had a short first session on the notorious erith pier this evening half 3 until half 6. Had 12 whiting, a couple of decent size but the rest were tiddlers. I found that almost all of the smaller fish were gullet hooked resulting in me having to dispatch 2...
Had a 3 hour bash on the pier today from 9am til 12ish, sun shining, no wind but a tad chilly in the shade. First cast, tap tap, out came the first of many -a 40cm whiting, grand total 31. Good mix of flatties largest being 32cm total of 8, then came the best, a fine and unexpected 47cm bass...
Good afternoon everybody,
I am looking to go and do some fishing on Tuesday with my brother and am looking to fish either Herne bay or Ramsgate, however I haven't got the best cast so preferably I would need to be able to be on a jetty or a pier with access to a little deeper water, I like the...
Heard from a fishing pal yesterday via someone who was in the local tackle shop that the SBW is to be permanently closed with the gates being closed for the final time in a fortnight or so. Many have their own view on the SBW and how well it fishes, but it's one of the few relatively safe places...
I'm off on holiday to Pembrokeshire in June and may get a day or two to fish hopefully. I'm looking for some advice as to where I can fish from an easily accessible bit of ground as I am now paraplegic so cannot hop around on rocks anymore and need to fish from breakwaters, piers...
I'm thinking of having a session on either Clacton or Southend pier tomorrow, has anyone heard of anything coming up from them lately?? do you have to pay for clacton pier? good rigs to use?
Today I intend on fishing the concrete pier at West Bay in Bridport. Is there anything around this mark at this late in the year? And are there any better marks located around the harbour there? And where is the best place on the pier to fish or cast? What species might I catch on...
